Steve Henry is an Ordained minister and senior pastor at Victory Heights United Brethren Church in Franklin, Pennsylvania. He has been serving in this role since 2006 after the Lord directed him out of the field of Christian radio broadcasting. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Communications in 2001 from Kentucky Mountain Bible College & also completed his work at the Focus on the Family Institute.
Two weeks after graduating college, Steve married Amanda and within the first three months of marriage discovered they were expecting their first child. Since Steve and Amanda were preparing for missions work in Papua New Guinea at Wantok Radio Light, their firstborn was born halfway around the world. Once back in the states, after one year of ministry in Papua New Guinea, they had four more children over the next 8 years, and are now enjoying being back in NW, Pennsylvania. Steve speaks annually to first-year medical students at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and also to nursing students at the Venango County Area Vocational Technical School. He shares his story with living with Marfan syndrome, his many medical procedures, and raising children with the same condition while always focusing back on his faith in God as the foundation for his family. Steve is passionate about sharing his story, about his Custom Scars, in order to help bring hope to others. No matter what your scars may be, Steve’s humor, concern, and experience will hopefully encourage your heart and bring strength to your soul. He loves to share his story of hope and purpose to all he meets. |
